Why band claws? A crab or lobster in a bucket, cooler or live tank uses its claws on everything around it: other crabs, other lobsters and the hand that reaches in. The kit includes a 304 stainless steel bander tool. Squeeze it to open a band to the right width, slide the band over the claw, set it close to the joint and release. It works on a boat, at a processing table or straight off the trap, and keeps your fingers away from the claw. It is stainless steel from tip to handle, with no rubber or plastic grips to crack or peel, and resists corrosion in saltwater and live tanks. Rinse and dry after use.

AirFly claw bands are 1" x 0.5" flat bands made in the USA by an FDA-certified manufacturer from food-grade silicone, not natural rubber or latex. They are non-toxic and latex-free, and they stay on through boiling and steaming, so there is no need to cut them off before cooking and no off-flavor in the meat.

Silicone stays elastic from -47F in a freezer or ice slurry up to 450F in a boiling pot. It resists UV and ozone, so a bag kept in a boat hatch, gear locker or tackle bag stays ready season after season. Rinse and reuse.
